Submissions are now being accepted for The Smirnoff Experience Reel Talent Award. Created by The Hospital in Covent Garden, the competition is for 3 prizes worth more than UKP 10,000 each.

Three teams of writer/directors and producer will attend an intensive residential script development course run by The Script Factory, before being granted £8,500 each to produce a 5-minute film. Screenplays must have a genuine musical heartbeat and be clearly original in demonstrating how music shapes and inspires the story. This is not a call for pop videos or literal interpretations of well-known songs, but a challenge to represent the character of music through vision and storytelling. 

One-to-one mentoring, use of The Hospital’s studios, and support from production house Intrepido will all form part of the prize. The three films will premiere at VIP events at The Hospital in Covent Garden and be offered international distribution agreements. o­ne winning film will also be entered into a series of prestigious international film festivals.
