Wildeye are Pleased To Announce - Canon Weekend Course
22nd – 24th July - Norfolk
£195 per person (This includes tuition, accommodation and meals
For some years now the Canon XL range of camcorders (XL1, XL1s and now the XL2) have been known as THE camera for wildlife film-makers working the mini DV format. The 3CCD picture quality, accessories and functionality, and ability to change lenses (plus use ordinary SLR camera lenses using adaptors) make the Canon XL a clear favourite.
This weekend is aimed at those who already have a Canon XL camera and wish to explore its features in more depth, and try a variety of attachments and ancillary equipment to help with purchase decisions. It also provides an introduction to the new Canon XL2 for those who may upgrade in the future. The weekend is also suitable for those planning to buy a Canon XL (whether second hand or new) who wish to learn more about the camera and what to look for when choosing equipment to buy.
The course is split into six workshops exploring various aspects of Canon XL use: wide angle, telephoto, macro, scopes, underwater and sound recording. It is taught by Mike Linley who has a great deal of experience using Canon XL cameras whilst making professional wildlife films, and Simon Beer from OpTex Dynamic Imaging.
